Charlotte.
Charlotte holds a special place on my tree, being my 2x great-grandmother. You can read about her here
The name Charlotte is a French form of the Italian name Carlotta, with the English being Charles. It has been in English-speaking use from the 17th century. Lottie and Charley are two variants commonly used.
Famous Charlotte's are,
Charlotte Bronte, author.
Charlotte Rampling, UK actress.
Princess Charlotte, (1796 -1817), granddaughter of George 111.
I have a great-niece Charlotte and she goes by Charley. And of course Charlotte Bronte -- who has not enjoyed her novels?
