It has been awhile since I last blogged and I'll bring you up to date, with what has gone one. 13th December saw Paul and I head south, to Victoria to spend Christmas with our Victorian family. Something we love doing! We stopped at Euroa, overnight and arrived at our daughter's at 8.00am. A quick change, into warmer clothes and a cuppa were in order. For morning tea we headed to the Flying Tart at Kinglake West. This bakery/café was one of the few places to survive the Black Saturday bushfires. Their bread, pies and tarts are delicious. Always good to support a local small business. The next morning we headed to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & ice creamery, for breakfast. Something of a bit of a tradition, when we are there. I did my Christmas chocolate shopping, after a delicious breakfast. On the Friday, my granddaughters and I headed into Melbourne for some shopping and a stop at Max Bremer's, yum. What a busy week! Our family arrived on the 20th and left on the 26th, so we have had a wonderful time. Cooking, board games, shopping, puppy walking, dinners out and lots of lovely chats, giggles and sing-a-longs. Christmas morning was an early start, 6.00am, (it could have been 5.30!) presents given, lots of giggles and surprises, big breakfast, cooked by our son-in-law then we each went to different places. We went to our younger daughters place and had Christmas with her and her husbands family. Three, (10, 8 &5) children, who LOVE Christmas, a 2year old, who is just starting to catch on and a 4month old, who couldn't have cared less, made it lively! Home and five of the six started a Monopoly game, me I relaxed and listened to the fun. Competition was fierce and cut-throat, with buying, selling and negotiations done as if it was real. Boy have I had fun! Yesterday I decided to sort out the family tree filing cabinet.  The amount of useless bits of paper, I checked, that have gone into the recycling bin, was huge. Today I'm sorting old family photos and have an album to put them in. I've also spent time re-checking information, on-line, that I'd scribbled onto said bits of paper.  I've got space to keep things organised and will try to do so!  The cricket is on the ABC so it will keep me company, while I sort some more.
