Wednesday 20 Q for QUONDAM.
QUONDAM, an unusual word, for this age but in ‘ The first English Dictionary 1604,’ by Robert Cawdrey, it is defined as ‘heeretofore, in times past.’ My favourite from this little book is QUERIMONIOUS, now this is a word you can use today as the definition is, ‘full of complaining, and lamentation.’ I picked up my copy from the National Library of Australia but have a look at this website; www.bodleianshop.co.uk
