The People You Meet.

Image
Last year I was a newbie at RootsTech. While I meet new people and have kept in touch with many, via Facebook, it is hard to know what it will be like when you meet up again.  Well by the amount of hugs and kisses I got, it was like we had seen each other frequently. Conversations ranged from family, to genealogy, book, travel and everything in between. Below are photos of new friends and old. I have realised, again, what a wonderful family genealogy and blogging is. You have friends everywhere!  Thanks everyone for a wonderful RootsTech. Tell we meet again, take care.                                                                Bye, Lilian. ...

2016 a bit of a review.

2016,   what has happened, this year? Plenty of travel both together and just me. January and we made a trip to Canberra, for my birthday. April, we enjoyed a few days at Windsor and explored the area. May saw us head to Melbourne and family time. September and I attended a conference in Camden.   We then flew to Cairns for a family holiday, Fantastic. October and we were of to Adelaide. Family, friends and genealogy made up that trip. The last one was a weekend of webinars, several months ago. After Martyn Killion welcomed us to the day, our first speaker was Michelle Patient, with the topic, Exodus to the South Seas. With so much to cover, it was done in two sessions, with morning tea in between. This is Michelle, getting into her talk. I love attending her talks as she presents in an engaging way. This was taken, just before the day began. Jill Ball is in the front.     Emily Hanna was after Kerry but I've got the photos in the wrong order! Emily is from NSW State Records and she explained what types of records were held and how to access them. Another lot of information, I didn't fully know a...
