Covid-19 Challenge July- September

 Well for someone, who had been in lockdown since 25 June, I have been busy.

July saw me do a click 'n' collect on our new car. It's lovely to drive but we can't go anywhere.

I've taken up the jigsaw craze, and have done 13, so far. 



I finished the rug, I was making and it's snuggly. I'm knitting myself a jumper, should be done by next winter.

Cooking has been fun with my first attempt at making sourdough bread. It takes ages, as bread making does and Paul and I enjoyed it. I made two dozen cupcakes and two dozen scones and did a neighbourhood scone run.

Miss 5 was having a birthday, so I made and iced (pink) cupcakes and we had a Zoom party, with her.

Other things I cooked were a weetbix slice, fruit cake, chocolate mousse and a meat pie.


Counting this post, I've done 12. I took part in the Family History Month, Genalife in Lockdown Challenge, were we were challenged to write about some part of out family. I worked on the Galbraith side of the family and discovered more about them.

I took 238 photos, mostly of the garden as the bulbs, wisteria, weeping cherry and other spring plants bloomed.



My Goodreads Challenge is behind by five books but I still read 36 books and heaps of magazines. I get the magazines, online from the library.

I also discovered Book Grocer and treated myself to a box of books and as a surprise sent a box of kids books to Master 7 and Miss 6. They loved them.

I also caught this Magpie, using my sheets as a swing, yes the Currawong is swooping it!

Hi, As it is very wet both in NSW, Victoria and Queensland, genealogists just might spend their weekend doing research and ordering certificates. Below are the details of transcription agents, very useful people. Here in New South Wales (NSW), we have three transcription agents, Joy Murrin, Marilyn Rowan and Laurie Turtle. These wonderful people and save you money, when you want a certificate, to verify a birth, death or marriage. What, might you ask is a transcript? Two New Australian Authors.

   Over the past few months I have been introduced to two new Australian authors. Louise Allan and Michelle. These ladies have both released their first novels this year and they are on the top of my MUST READ pile. Louise, lives in Western Australia, with her husband and four children and in her acknowledgements she says that the story has taken six years to write. Set in Tasmania, with a time span og seventy years, it is a story of two sisters, their relationship and music.
