Charlotte

The name Charlotte is a French form of the Italian name Carlotta, with the English being Charles. It has been in English-speaking use from the 17th century. Lottie and Charley are two variants commonly used.

Famous Charlotte's are,

 Charlotte Bronte, author.

Charlotte Rampling, UK actress.

Princess Charlotte, (1796 -1817), granddaughter of George 111.

  1. I have a great-niece Charlotte and she goes by Charley. And of course Charlotte Bronte -- who has not enjoyed her novels?
